MYANMAR EXTENSION CAMPUS
Our trip to Myanmar was wonderful. I always look forward to teaching in the extension Bible school in Yangon. I have been
to Myanmar several times now and always by myself. On this trip however, Marlene accompanied me. It actually worked
perfectly for us in regards to having to make our 90 day visa run which requires us to exit the country and re-enter on a
new 90 day stamp. The travel agency we use in Yangon has done a wonderful job in getting us visa's on arrival, arranging
our hotel accommodations, getting the best exchange rate on exchanging money etc.. They are always there to meet you
when you arrive at the airport to make sure everything goes smoothly for you.
Myanmar Extension Campus Graduation
The second graduating class of RHEMA Bible Training Center Thailand
extension campus in Yangon Myanmar took place on December 4,
2011 with Revs. Keith and Sharon Higginbotham, Directors of RHEMA
Thailand, officiating the graduation ceremony.

Since the extension school in Myanmar caters to those who are already
in ministry, all 20 of these graduating students are either serving as
pastors or in some other ministry role.
While I was teaching at the Bible
school, Pastor Minue's wife
Josephine and their daughter
Esther took Marlene sightseeing
around the city of Yangon as well
as stopping to check out the
shopping malls. This was
Marlene's first trip to Myanmar
and she throughly enjoyed her
day with Josephine and Esther.
The temples in Myanmar are a
major sightseeing attraction.
This particular temple located in
Yangon is know for its
extravagant use of gold.
.
The streets of Yangon are cluttered with a mixture of car's,
buses, trucks, and bicycles as well as people on foot.

Marlene became well acquainted with riding in the well
ventilated taxi's of Yangon allowing you to enjoy the
invigorating uninhibited inundation of exhaust fumes.
Teaching begin at 9am and ended around 4pm. Although there is not the comfort of air
conditioning to enjoy, teaching six hours a day in the heat just doesn't seem to be a factor. You
really didn't feel the effects of the day until you returned to your hotel room which most of the
time was around 8 or 9pm. By this time it was lights out until the next morning.
Sister Cho Lay did all the cooking for feeding all of
the students and us while we were there. Since they do
have enough electrical power to operate electrical
appliances, all cooking has to
be done outside on an open
fire. What a blessing this sister
is to the extension school in
Myanmar.

Marlene was quite intrigued
with Cho Lay's methods of
cooking which produced
amazingly delicious food.
I finally finished a project the Lord put
on my heart six years ago. One reason
it took so long to complete was
because of my own reluctance to write
a book. I do not consider myself a
prolific writer but by the grace of God
the book is what it is.

The book, "Captured By His Holy
Calling", deals with the captivating
power of the call of God on ones life
and the life changing effect it has
which cause one to will and to do that
to which God has called.

In this book I share my own encounter
with this captivating power that
radically changed my own life and has
led me to the place's of God's
choosing.
It is hard to believe but we have been here in Thailand 3 years now. Time has passed so quickly that it doesn't seem like
more than a year has gone by since we have been to the U.S. The Lord willing, we want to make a trip to the U.S. after
graduation in March to see family and take care of other necessary business that we cannot conduct from the field.

The year 2012 has all the ear marks of being even more busy than the previous year of 2011. We are so grateful for our
supporters who have faithfully month after month, year after year, supported our ministry on the mission field over the
last fourteen years. Our prayer regarding your gracious gifts is that God will make all grace abound toward you so that
you will always have all sufficiency in all things - nothing missing - nothing broken - nothing lacking.
